Acts 8: 5-8
Because of the great persecution at Jerusalem due to the Gospel rejection Philip Deacon or Church Officer of the church at Jerusalem had to flee to Samaria. This great City under demonic attacks and demon possession was a dangerous place to live. The Bible says that Philip found a genuine opportunity to share Christ. This deacon became a preacher of Christ and as he was preaching. There were deliverance and joy in that city, Only God through Christ can deliver.
John 3: 16- 17
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send the son into the world to judge the world but that the world might be saved through him.
As a son of a former voodoo priest I think I ought to tell you without fear of successful contradiction that there is power in voodoo but Christ is Greater. I want to thank God for taking me to the valley of death and confusion to bring me to his kingdom of justice.
25 years ago there were spiritual and political earthquakes in Haiti, while there were violence, fire and death everywhere I was challenged by a few friends to become a preacher for Christ in Haiti, without hesitation I have decided to start preaching Christ in Port- au- Prince in March 1986. Today 25 years after I am thankful to God for what he has done with me and my partners in the Gospel.
The Gospel has been preached in the 4 corners of Haiti where over 20000 souls have been baptized. I have been encouraged to preach and bring testimonies in several states in the US, Canada, in South America and Santo Domingo, where we just help established a Haitian – Dominican Congregation in Santiago. The special week of celebration of Delmas 28 Church of Christ www.delmaschurchofchrist .org is a living testimony that the earthquake of January 12, 2010 may have killed the dreamer but could not kill the dream. Radio Stations, TV Stations came to witness over 1500 people expressing their joy admiration and thanksgivings to God Almighty. I was thrilled to witness 30 souls being baptized during the ceremony. I want to thank the church for the plaques, medallion and expression of gratitude to me and my family for 25 years of service as a tenured Gospel preacher. The Delmas 28 Church has printed T-shirt with the super scripture” 25 years of victory with Christ” when I reminisce I can conclude that I would not be able to achieve all these without contribution of some special people.
I want to thank God for Dr Eugene Lawton who has become a mentor to me since the beginning; because of this great Prognosticator of the word of God I have been able to make right quotation and right Application of the Bible. He has introduced me to Great Gospel Preachers like Dr. R. C. Wells, Dr. Thomas Williams , Dr. Jack Evans, Dr. C. Baccus, Dr.Bruce McClure Dr. WF Washington, and to the late Nokomis yeldell. I’m also indebted to Dr. Ron Bever, Professor and Elder for his legendary and eldership touch on us. Dr. Philip Slate has introduced me to Harding graduate school of religion. Dr. Jim Benton to another level in theological studies at doctoral level.
My appreciation to the late SF Timmerman who introduced me to great partners like Norman Rhodes , Ben Adkins of World Radio, Michel Mazzalonge, Ken Bever , Tim Matenbrook , Henry Speck , the late Norman Smart and Jhon Osborne of Ontario.
I want to acknowledge some great sisters who have impacted me tremendously in my weakness, as Julie G. Di Cesare my friend , Sendy Besso a great advisor, Lise Mazzanlongo a Kind Lady, Rhonda Bever a comforter, Tonya Hunt hard finghting Solder of the Cross. When I was in deep trouble in Haiti when they kidnapped my son when I was facing serious legal matters, when I needed a big brother, Mike Calvert of Mike Calvert Toyota stood with me for a good while. Without patience, and a great sense of sacrifice of my family (wife and children) it would be impossible to achieve this accomplishment. Space will not permit me to name everyone let stay steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord knowing that our labor is not in vain in the Lord.
